Why Tomaers?
Every company begins with a reason, even if it is not stated clearly at first. This is ours.
Every company begins with a reason, even if it is not stated clearly at first.
TOMAERS began with a simple observation. The built environment is becoming more complex, but many projects are still approached through disconnected fragments. Design moves one way. Engineering follows another. Compliance is reviewed later. Delivery carries the burden. Operations inherit the consequences.
The work gets done. But too often, clarity arrives late.
We believe it should arrive earlier.
TOMAERS was created to bring disciplines closer to one another and to bring decisions closer to reality. We work across architecture, engineering, fire and life safety, specialist advisory, technology, construction and asset thinking because projects do not live in neat categories. They live as systems.
A building is not successful because one discipline performed well in isolation. It succeeds because the whole arrangement holds together. It stands. It functions. It responds. It adapts. It remains understandable to those who operate it and useful to those who depend on it.
That is the standard we care about.
We are not driven by process alone. Process matters, of course. It gives shape to work and accountability to delivery. But process without purpose becomes ritual. A submission is not the same as a solution. A report is not the same as resolution. A design is not complete simply because it has reached the next stage.
We are interested in what happens after.
Will the system perform as intended? Will the design hold under pressure? Will the project remain dependable as demands change? Will the choices made today still make sense years from now?
These questions shape our work.
Technology plays an important role in answering them. Digital engineering, modelling, data and automation can deepen insight and improve delivery. But they do not replace human judgement. Responsibility cannot be automated. Good decisions still depend on people who understand context, recognise risk and are willing to think beyond habit.
That belief matters to us.
So does collaboration. Our tagline, Together, we deliver, is not decoration. It reflects how serious work actually happens. Complex projects are not advanced by isolated brilliance alone. They move when clients, designers, engineers, specialists and delivery teams share enough clarity to act in the same direction.
That alignment is difficult. It is also where value is created.
TOMAERS is built around that conviction. We want to work on projects that require thought, not templates. Projects where coordination matters. Projects where performance matters. Projects where the cost of shallow thinking is too high.
We do not claim complexity will disappear. It will not. But it can be understood. It can be structured. It can be handled with greater discipline and less noise.
That is why TOMAERS exists.
To bring clarity where it is needed. To connect expertise where it is fragmented. To help deliver built environments that work in reality, not only in intent.

For years, BIM has been described through software, dimensions and deliverables. The deeper value of BIM is often lost in that routine.

Cities and Places Are Not Built in Pieces
A city does not experience itself in departments. It does not separate architecture from mobility, public space from infrastructure or buildings from the people who occupy them.

Fire and Life Safety Must Move Beyond Compliance
Codes matter. Standards matter. Approval pathways matter. But compliance alone is not the same as safety.
